Event Details

Spawned from the union of RepRap Makers and the Shacknet Arduino Hackers comes Sheffield Hardware Hackers ... Shh! Makers ... electronics and hardware makers under one roof.

Previously Shacknet brought you fire-breathing robots of doom and using Arduino, the popular open source hardware platform and the RepRap Makers took you on the Self-Replicating Machine Odyssey.

There's also time and space to work on the GIST Lab RepRap as well as to bring your own electronic gadgetry, LEDs, and other instruments of dorksome fun. We'd love to see and hear about your projects, and there are people to help out if you are stuck with something you're working on.

Come along to learn more about maker technologies, show'n'tell your inventions, work on projects together and share skills. Doors open at 6:20pm, sparks fly from 6:30pm.

To contribute to meetups, please get in touch on the forums here.  Forthcoming topics include maker business models.  All welcome.

On Twitter, follow @shhmakers or the #shhm hashtag.

Directions to the GIST Lab, a creative community collaboration space operated by the GIST Foundation in partnership with the Showroom Workstation, are here.
